When you pursue goals, does perfectionism belittle you?
Join our quarterly online discussions and learn ways to weaken those critical voices.
Self-Empathy:
When you have perfectionist thoughts that shame you, you’ll remember, “I’m not alone. Other people experience this too. My thoughts are what make me feel as if there’s something wrong with me. There’s nothing wrong with me.”
Self-empathy and self-validation are fundamental steps to cultivate self-appreciation. When you think, “Am I good enough?” I hope your new answer will be, “Yes, I am!!!”
Takeaway Tip:
You’ll hear a variety of tactics to reduce perfectionism. But you’ll identify one habit that you connect with and identify steps to integrate this habit into your life.
I am the author of I am a Golden Buddha: A Journey from Self-Criticism to Inner Peace. My book has received forty-seven five-star Amazon reviews and praise from creativity luminaries such as Sabrina Ward Harrison and Alena Hennessy.
I am currently writing her second book: Restore Your Brilliance: 7 Phrases to Reduce Perfectionism and Boost Self-Esteem.
When we reclaim power over the critical voices that tell us “You’re not good enough,” we create an emotionally safe space. Then, our muse feels more confident popping into our lives with its gifts.
Each Creativity Muse Café event is a one-hour long hosted through Google Meetings. The event will include journaling prompts and group discussion. Jenny will also share insights from her life. The group will be an intimate size to allow personal attention to each attendee from Jenny.
To join us, you do not need to identify as a writer or artist and you do not need to be actively pursuing a goal. Even though the Cafe image depicts a woman, this inclusive event is open to men, women, and non-binary people. If you’re willing to be curious and empathetic, we’d love to have you join us.
Only members of my Sneak Peek email newsletter will receive invitations to this free quarterly event. Any event announcements on social media or in my Substack newsletters will occur after the event has ended.
